The name Victor Bray is synonymous with drag racing in Australia. Victor was one of the pioneers of drag racing in this country frequenting some of the first ever drag races organized at the Surfers Paradise International Raceway. His first taste of success was winning the Tin Top Titles
back in 1983.
Throughout his 25 plus years in the sport, he has continued to rewrite the record books and has secured an amazing six Australian Top Doorslammer Championships along the way.
In 1999 he drove his Castrol GP50 Chev to a new world record speed of 232.13mph (371.3km/h) at Calder Park in Melbourne. Victor’s car is still the second quickest doorslammer in the world at 6.056 seconds.
Castrol EDGE Sport 25W-50 is the same proven technology that was originally known as the famous Castrol GP50 and is the only oil used exclusively in Victor Bray’s legendary 3000hp Chev.

Nicknamed “Benny the Kid”, Ben Bray started his career by following in his father’s footsteps, but over the past few years he has made a significant mark in the sport in his own right.
Since starting his career at the age of 10, Ben has carved his way to the top of the sport in Australia. In 2003, he won the Australian Top Doorslammer Championship, making him the youngest ever winner of a national drag racing championship anywhere in the world.
After finishing second in 2004, he returned to the top of the tables in 2005 when he regained the Australian Top Doorslammer crown.
Ben has now decided to try his luck in the 4 cylinder turbo market, piloting an 8.6 second Datsun Ute. The 2L SR20 engine produces over 500hp. Ben uses Castrol EDGE 10W-60 in the Dato.
